Help us help children through Extra Life
Do you like playing games?
Do you know someone who likes playing games?
Do you want to make a difference in a child's life?
Extra Life is giving us an opportunity to give back by playing games, being sponsored and the money raised goes to support Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City and all the wonderful things they do for children in need of medical care.
It's a lot easier than you may think:
Now, for the truly hardcore, play that 24 hours all at once at Ruby's Inn (who have generously donated the gaming space) from 8 am on November 7th until 8 am on November 8th. We will supply a library of games to choose from, but you're also welcome to bring your own.
If you want to stay the night Friday night (or Friday and Saturday nights) Ruby's Inn (26 S Main St, Bryce Canyon City, Utah) has offered us a low discounted rate on rooms for the marathon, which is $40 for their outside lodges, $49 for the main lodge (no meals included), or $69 at the Bryce Canyon Grand across the street (breakfast buffet included). The links for this rate are: Ruby's Inn and Bryce Canyon Grand.
Common Questions
What if I can't make it to Ruby's Inn to participate?
You don't have to. You can take part at home, with your local gaming group, or anywhere else you choose to play. We're trying to encourage people to attend so that we have a larger number of gamers in one place, but it's not necessary.
Do I have to collect money from sponsors?
No, they will sponsor you directly through your page on Extra Life.
I'm not into board games, can I play other games?
Yes, you can play computer games, console games, any games you want to! We'll be doing Board/Card and Roleplaying at Ruby's, but any game is acceptable.
What if I can't do 24 hours straight?
It's okay, we all have jobs, kids, lives, need for sleep. The goal is to play 24 hours. However you want to split that up is just fine!
Please email us if you have any questions regarding this marathon ([email protected]).
Are you up to the challenge?
I can tell you that the children this charity benefits are facing some hardcore problems, are you a hardcore enough gamer to help them out?

It's a lot easier than you may think:
- Follow the link (picture) below to the Extra Life webpage.
- Register as a participant with Extra Life (there's no fee for this unless you want platinum membership).
- During the registration you'll be asked if you'd like to join a team. Our team for this marathon is Mountains of Care.
- Spread the word! Between now and November contact people in person, through Facebook, Twitter, etc., and ask them if they will sponsor you on your page at Extra Life. Friends, family, co-workers, fellow gamers, all work good for this.
- Spread the word! Let other gamers know about this marathon and ask them to participate. The more people we have on our team, the better chances we have to reach our goal.
- Lastly, play 24 hours worth of games in the month of November.
